位于昌平十三陵水庫壩東的蟒山國家森林公園，因這裏山勢起伏如大蟒，故名蟒山，最高峰659米。山中有不少紅葉樹種，不如黃栌、紅楓、橡栎、柿樹等
昌平蟒山国家森林公园有五奇：一奇是山上树木种类多，176个观赏树种异彩纷呈，86％的覆盖率形成层峦叠嶂；二奇这里有北京的石雕大佛，慈面善心，笑迎八方客；三奇是北京最长的登山台阶，由3666块条石铺就；四奇是山巅有北京最高的仿古明塔和彩绘长廊，可望宏伟京城，观秀水山色。五奇是国内的人工天池，蓄水後可環湖遊覽，或入湖飛舟。
